Most of us can't hop on a plane to Kenya to work directly with the children and communities that KanKen is impacting, but there are so many ways to join our efforts from this side of the world. Read below to find the varied opportunities you have to GET INVOLVED!

We can't say this enough. Nothing we do at KanKen can succeed without the power of Jesus Christ that is unleashed through the prayers of His people. Would you commit to pray for KanKen and all those it serves?
Each shipping container library we place in rural Kenya houses as many as 30,000 books and learning resources. That's a lot of books! You can help fill the library pods in various ways or help with shipping ($60/box) by designating your gift in the comments section.
Every Pod needs a covered reading area to protect the children from rain and sun. These cost $3,500 on average. We are currently in need of covered areas for Pods 3 and 4. Designate your gift by adding a note in the comments section of the giving form.
A great way to get the word out about KanKen is to have one of us speak at your meeting, organization, group, or church. Would you help grow KanKen's reach by contacting us with an invitation to share?
Another great way to get the word out about KanKen is to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, keep up to date on exciting news, then share our posts with a personal message of your own.
Have an idea for supporting KanKen? Maybe using our Wish List for your birthday presents or collecting donations at your VBS? Whatever your idea, contact us for support, promotional materials, and current needs.
Each Saturday, every Pod provides healthy snacks to the often-malnourished children who come to read. This is one more way KanKen is investing in the communities where we are located and meeting needs that can inhibit learning. On average, each Pod feeds 400-500 children each Saturday at a cost of $50. Currently that averages $200 per month per Pod, or $800 total. To help provide snacks, designate your gift by adding a note in the comments section of the giving form.
Sound Biblical resources are seriously lacking for spiritual training of adults in Kenya. KanKen is equipping our Reading Coaches and others with essential knowledge and skills for ministry using the SOMA program which spans 3.5 years and uses 42 books. With a cost of $5 per book, the total cost per participant is $210. This is a great way for families, home groups, Sunday School classes, men’s/women’s ministries, or congregations to share the gospel and make disciples.
With very little overhead, KanKen is one of the most efficient non-profits you will find. Every dollar donated goes directly to the operation of the Pods, as well as expansion at the Lord’s leading. You can choose to give monthly, make a special gift (either designated or undesignated), or purchase books/resources from our wish list. An easy way to get started is our Romans 12/$12 program, as it holds a special place in Tiffany’s heart.
